Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just adpoted two kitten 7 weeks old I added two kittens to my family. One kitten came home with bad digestive issues and I felt so bad for him because I knew he was in discomfort. I looked on lots of different websites and read all types of information about cat food. dry vs. wet, pros and cons of all types of cat food, the process of which cat food is made and I found one other type of food that was better but it is 32 dollars per 2 lb bag, wellness is 13 dollars in the store or 10 dollars online. I wanted to find a website that could of just told me this one is the best choice. So here if you have a kitten that has a hard time pooping and its bloody. He doesn't want to eat food because he gets sick, change to wellness to help for cat feel wellness for the first time.

How to Feed Your Kitten
As kittens grow up they need to learn when, where and how to eat.  Depending on age, kittens need to be fed at the same time and in the same place 2-4 times per day.  Food should be removed after 20 minutes, if not eaten.  In the beginning, kitten’s food can be moistened with a little warm water.

Determining Feeding Portions
Looking at the chart to the below, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your kitten per day to determine the portion size for each meal.  Give your kitten access to clean, cool fresh water at all times and feed Wellness® CORE® wet food in combination whenever possible, to increase the level of water in your kitten’s diet. Nutrition is the foundation of wellbeing, but be sure to give your kitten plenty of love, exercise and see your veterinarian regularly.

Pregnant and Lactating Cats: Allow free access to dry food at all times.

Calorie Content: This food contains 3,860 kcal per kilogram or 502 kcal per cup ME (metabolizable energy) on an as fed basis (calculated).

How to Transition

This food is formulated for kittens and pregnant or nursing mothers who have special nutritional requirements. It is important to slowly transition your cat from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness® CORE® each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness CORE by day 7.

Nutrition is the foundation of wellbeing, but be sure to give your cat plenty of fresh water, love and exercise and visit your veterinarian regularly!
